Join us virtually for Office Ergonomics Essentials March 9-10!
WFH has its perks – when it’s done right. Currently, we’re seeing musculoskeletal injuries spreading on a scale not seen before: lower back pain, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and more. And that’s not to mention the knock-on effects this has on mental health, productivity, and quality of life.
Here’s the good news: people like working from home because they enjoy the flexibility, freedom, and being the master over their environment. But, you need to know how to accomplish this.
WFH is Starting to Catch Up With Us: Protect Your Body and Your Colleagues
Laptops and wooden chairs started sending people to emergency rooms only a couple months after the pandemic began.
We are offering you a chance to develop the knowledge and skills you need to truly master your environment. Your workspace should work for you, whoever you are and whatever your unique needs are. The same goes for your staff and colleagues.
Unfortunately, there’s a tendency in our culture to wait until something is wrong and then ‘react’ to that problem. Join us to learn how to prevent those problems for yourself or the staff you support.
The number of injuries we as ergonomists are seeing have gone off the charts. This is coupled with some additional concerning trends as well: injuries are becoming more severe, people aren’t taking enough breaks, surgeries are delayed leaving people to manage pain and discomfort, and opioids are being prescribed for preventable conditions.
Office Ergonomics Essentials
EWI Works’ Office Ergonomics Essentials Course is designed to empower you to manage your environment so you remain healthy, comfortable, and productive.
Newly revamped into an entirely virtual format, this course runs online from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., March 9-10. Office Ergonomics Essentials is designed to train an organization’s personnel to conduct basic, in-house office ergonomic assessments, as well as to support colleagues who work in home offices. In an interactive, fun, and stimulating environment, participants learn what musculoskeletal injuries are, how to identify them, and how to prevent them, with additional attention to remote work environments. We’ve also incorporated a new virtual reality component to leverage the latest technology in enhancing our workplaces.
Graduates will be well equipped to immediately implement what they’ve learned into their corporation’s health and safety initiatives. This includes understanding how to manage concerns and risk factors, properly select and adjust furniture, and recognize when a professional ergonomic assessment is needed. Additionally, Donald MacDonald will show participants how to make use of EWI Works’ free apps and resources, ensuring their knowledge and abilities stay up-to-date well into the future.
Taught by experienced ergonomist and EWI Works President Donald MacDonald, the Office Ergonomics Essentials course is our flagship offering and provides everything you need to make your workplace safer, fully comfortable, and more productive. To register click “Buy Now” below.
