Part 14 of the Code requires that organizations need to implement a training program should they discover MSI risks to workers after conducting a hazard assessment. This doesn’t have to be a daunting task and EWI can help.

Part 14 requires organizations to address MSIs in the workplace with reference to lifting and manual handling of heavy and awkward loads. The requirements include conducting a proper hazard assessment and implementing changes, including training, to address any risks of MSIs to workers.

There are changes to the OHS Code that you should be aware of regarding hazard assessments. Organizations are becoming increasingly responsible for alerting hazards to both employees and contractors working on their site.
